More about the setting

We hope you’re looking forward to the event on the 19th-21st of August. If you haven’t purchased your ticket yet, you can do so by following this link. While you wait, we’ve prepared some additional material about the world of Five Oaths.

Our next adventure takes us to Siabhal, the Heart of the Realms. To understand the high society and people of Siabhal it’s important to have knowledge of two things. The Ruby Court is the ancient institution to which all the High Families of Siabhal belong. All the High Families of Siabhal also claim descent from the Hundred Heroes of legend.

While we’re on the subject of High Families, you may have missed our update about the aristocracy of the Five Realms, namely the Tiarnaí and High Families.

Have you ever been in the field on a supposedly summer’s day and been beset with hailstones or other aberrant phenomena? Then you’ve probably experienced a Luaineach. You can learn more about it and other times of the year by reading about the Calendar in use in the Five Realms.

The gallóglaigh of Cumhacht na Réige have already been through some exciting times, but if you’d like to know more about what gallóglaigh in the recent past got up to you can read about the Battle of Traitor’s Tears and the Siege of Lobhan, which were two quite Important Battles.

Last but not least, we know that the very first thing on the mind of a roving mercenary for hire is Law and Order, so we’ve given a brief account of how that works in the setting.

We hope you enjoy these new details about the setting, and hope to see you soon at Collon for the Season of Renewal!
