How to read these rules
When you see a capitalised term, like Effect or Feat, this means that it is a game term, and it has a specific meaning in the context of the rules which will be explained. Some particularly important parts of the rules will appear in bold like this.
Here’s an important example: The Event Team have the final say on the interpretation of this rules document.

Rules to ensure your safety and the safety of other participants
Rules for how your character interacts with the world (and how the world bites back) during an event
Rules for how to design a character and choose their abilities
