Regarding Officer Appointments, and the Wizard at Arms

To provide clarity on officer appointments: In general, if an officer position is empty at the end of an event, a replacement will be appointed by the Thane before the start of the next event. The appointee will be chosen by the event team based on the Thane’s IC consultation with player characters, with some OOC oversight for general game-health purposes as mentioned in the original officers announcement. Update to Consumable Items

Hello folks! Thank you for your patience with us as we enter the long dark of winter, with no LARP to keep us going. We’ll be rolling out a few posts in the coming weeks with important updates, discussions, and news regarding Five Oaths LARP, and we’d like to open with some rules updates regarding consumable items. IC Officers

It took us nearly three years, but the results are in! The IC Officers for the upcoming Season of Renewal, as decided by the Thane are: Thane’s Lieutenant – Alejandro Montalban O’Reilly Deputy Lieutenant – Sorrel Airiúgladh Watch Officer – Cathasaigh MacTire Master of the…

The Great Time Skip: News from Tirneach

The Season of Uncertainty The two years following the death of Maeláine Uí Chonchobhair were a time of great fear and uncertainty. In the absence of a Réig, the Gwyllt ran rampant across Tirneach, terrorising the people and forcing them to dedicate themselves to little besides the defence of their communities. The first summer without a Réig was a trial, the second proved to be a harrowing of the Relams. Many, among the learned and…

On Uasa and Play

In the process of working on A Season of Renewal (August 2022), we discovered a few contradictions in how the political and cultural landscape of Uasa had been described across different documents since our game launch in 2019: We’ve made some changes in the Uasa description on the main website to better resolve those contradictions and better reflect our goals for Uasa, while leaving the best platform for storytelling and gameplay going forwards. Original Text:…
