If you have a player ticket for the upcoming event, you will need to pick two slots to monster. In previous years we have done this using a google sheets form, but large numbers of players trying to sign up at once have sometimes caused issues where people accidentally overwrote each other’s signups.
This year we’re trying a slightly different system using a google document with “suggesting” enabled. This should give us a record of who tried to sign up and in what order to avoid confusion
We’re opening signups tomorrow (Monday 26th May) at 19:00
HOW TO USE THIS SHEET
- At 19:00, Monday 26th May, “suggesting” will be enabled, and signups will start.
- You can then fill in your name for monster slots. Unless specifically told otherwise, you must put yourself down for two slots.
- When you write in your name, it will initially be in coloured text. When a member of event team approves it, the text will turn black.
- Google will log the suggestions in chronological order. If two names are written in the same cell, the event team will approve the name that google tells us was there first.
- There are a number of lines on the sheet, with warnings not to start filling in beneath them until ALL cells in ALL columns above are filled. Event team will reject any names put beneath these lines before the sheet is full above them.
Note: If you have already signed up for a slot, but have NO available option for a second slot, you may then progress below the line. For instance, if only Saturday afternoon has space, and you sign up for Saturday afternoon, you may then sign up below the line in another slot. Only do this if you have no other options.
IMPORTANT INFO FOR SUNDAY MONSTERING
- This event, there will be a large number of monsters on Sunday that we would like to appear earlier in the event.
- These are friendly NPCs. They will be involved in combat and as such are not suitable for noncombatants.
If you are monstering Sunday, you will likely be asked to play the same NPC in both of your slots. There will be other roles on Sunday, and non-combat NPCs will be available for noncombatants.
