Downtimes are now open for our recent event, a Season of Recovery! (Item transfers will be open shortly, so if you need to send an item to another player, hold tight and we’ll have those open asap!)
Some of our newer players may be asking: What’s a downtime? Downtime is what your character gets up to between games- Be that guarding settlements, crafting items, or researching the world. We have a handy guide on how to downtime in Five Oaths right here.
Downtimes for A Season of Recovery will close at 23.59pm, Friday July 26th.
If you’re waiting on a reply to an email regarding downtimes or your inventory, don’t worry- You’ll receive a response soon, and extensions will happily be granted where needed.
Special Downtime Opportunities
There are a number of special opportunities for Guarding and Mediating available this downtime period. These include the situation in Trágráig (as outlined in the Sunday scouting report), several opportunities discovered by player action, and the following opportunity to remain in Dun Hale.
Characters may choose to remain in Dun Hale and perform Guard or Mediate actions. These actions will help increase the likelihood of Dun Hale recovering by mitigating the harm caused by Bounty Targets that escaped the band during this mission.
The outcomes of all of these will depend on the number of guard/mediate actions committed to them, not on the number of people who guard or mediate. It is up to the players who have discovered opportunities independently to make the details of them known, if they wish to do so. For example some players have made them known in the player Discord.
New Locations
People with Five Realms Lore or from the relevant realm may notice new locations in your locations known section of the database, these are the Ridings of Crabbit in Baol, and Bród an Chroí and Ar Scáth na dtúr in Siabhal.
Saving the Date!
A Season of Masquerade is coming soon! Don’t forget- We have one more event left this year. Our next event will be happening on September 6-8, 2024, in Collon Scout Camp as the band returns to Siabhal.
