Hello! As we dust off the cobwebs after the new year, we’ve done up a few new pages on the website. These won’t contain anything much new to our experienced players, but our hope is that they’ll be a help to newer players trying to get to grips to the setting. So, without further ado, here’s a rundown of some of the new pages you can find:
- Explore the World now gives a nice little summary of the whole setting as well as the world map. A good place for new players to start!
- The Gallóglaigh is an introductory page to the protagonists of our game.
- So You Want to be a Gallóglach goes through all the ways that characters can be eligible to join the gallóglaigh, intended to help when making characters.
- The Five Realms has been updated with the world map.
- History of the Band is a list of missions the band has been on, showing how our heroes have travelled the land of Tirneach.
- The Gwyllt lays out the facts about the insidious monsters that prey on mortals, as well some gwyllt of legend.
- Factions of Baol expands on the clanns and trade guilds, giving examples of the most powerful of each.
- Locations of Bruid is a list of all the public locations in Bruid. We’ve decided that these are better on the website than the database, so that new players writing characters have access to the plot hooks from them. Obviously, to be able to travel to these locations in downtime, you will still need to be from the relevant realm, have the Five Realms Lore feat, or be taught the location in downtime by another player. The goal is to get all the realms’ public locations up on the website like this. However, this is going to take a bit of time as the location descriptions have to be reviewed as we go. So enjoy Bruid for now, and the rest will follow!
- Drakeblooded Houses is a list of the great (and not-so-great) houses of this species. Any player making a drakeblooded character can choose to play a member of any of the houses on this page, or make up their own. If any existing drakeblooded players want to add their houses to this list, please fill out the form here! Bear in mind, if you do this, anyone will be able to make a character in your house. If you’d rather your house just be a group of players you know, that’s totally fine. No need to let us know, that will be our default assumption if you don’t fill out the form.
